What I would like to know is how this will affect the pay tv offering. Will they continue to back the T-Box or will they come to market with a new improved IPTV service? Sky can't be holding all the cards for the broadcast licences, otherwise TVNZ etc would have nothing to show. I agree, more money in the pot means they will have better purchasing power - however will this just mean that we will end up paying more for the same content (maybe this is another thread also).
Secondly is the mobile offering. Currently, TCL resell VF - now it will become an in-house service. I wonder if VF will begin to offer a competitive 4 way package; TV, BB, landline and mobile with some better integration in service between landline and mobile.
I guess all of this is premature as the ComCom have not yet confirmed if it will go ahead!
