Currently we're paying $6.99 gor a 10 GB usage pack and $79.99 for call local + broadband a month. So that's $87 before any toll calls we might make.

Do any of you guys with TCL have a better value package?

Not with TCL, and assuming you mean for home use, but Telecom are offering 30GB for all of 2013 for $75 inclusing landline.

Some other providers have similar offers, however I think most of TCL's offers are for new customers primarily (happy to be corrected);

Not yet. I thought I'd get some feedback from other users first,

How about Vodafone Choice now that VF have bought TCL? 40GB data, home phoneline, 5 bestmates for home calling and sky discounts.

all the telstraclear offers are for new customers only.

Virtually every oither ISP has offers that are significantly better than what you are paying right now. Take your pick.

If you call and talk to one of the team they will be able to work on a package that suits your needs, whether you're a new or an existing customer. 0508 888 800

Gary - I dont see any point in anyonce contacting your team.

I have been a customer since early 1990's.
I am on homeplan wwith TV - 40GB broadband and Phone. so is costing me $155 + esp as we used the break cap frequently .

As my home usage has increased I called your call centre for options - loyalty program.
[Incident 121024-000292]

The only answer I could get was  - wait until my current discount on T-Box introductory period ended and then call back. but in mean time I had to increase my cap @ $$.

Personally it was clear to me  - the message is stay with telstra while it provides you with value for money or go elsewhere when a better offer comes up.

so for the future -

I looked at Telecom = $85 for 50GB and phone
                Sky basic @ $50
so looks like a get better value if I go elsewhere???
Or are my prices wrong anyone?????.

Once UFB hits Hataitai - that may be the time for me to look at alternatives.

Didnt work for me, I wanted something similar (as an inhome user) to the current promotion, was happy to sign a contract, and the best they could offer me was the same bandwidth with a phone for $26.00 a month dearer, and then I would have had to pay extra for voicemail, caller id and call waiting, - all of which I get standard on my phone.  Sorry but the retention sucks...  Hows about a deal for signing up to 12 months of warpspeed? I dont need a phone service where I have to pay for basic functions!!

Bear in mind TelstraClear will not be offering any new deals for at least 6 months — customer rep.

There is a vanishingly small chance of getting any kind of competitive deal from TelstraClear especially if your in a cable network only area. As for helpful residential ustomer care forget it.
Telstraclear business support do provide basic friendly support however - though also pricey.

Sounds about right to me.. here's the comparisons I did..

TelstraClear Tbox + Sky + Phone + 100gb HFC = $214.95

vs

Sky + MySky + Orcon Unlimited DSL = $163.12
Sky + MySky + Slingshot Unlimited DSL = $172.12
Sky + MySky + Telecom 500gb DSL = $184.12

Every time I look at those numbers I wonder why I haven't left yet.

Same here. I signed up to T-box probably about six months ago on a two year contract (already had cable internet with Telstra, been a customer for about six years), it is the two year contract keeping me tied into TelstraClear. (luckily I haven't had any issues with T-box believe it or not! other than it being ridiculously slow)

I talked to a guy who works for Telstra and he said to wait six months as there will be new deals when Vodafone takes over, but that is a long time really, when you are paying more than you should be
