Hi.

I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 8 pre-installed. Its set language is English.

I am trying to install Chinese as a second language preference.

Control Panel
Clock, language, region
Language

I then click options and try to install a new input method, but there is no Chinese language option (even though there is Vietnamese and Japanese).

Any advice on how to install Chinese as my second language?

Hi,

Please follow the instructions below. (I have Windows 8 Pro)

Are you sure you have Windows 8? There is no clock in control panel... its date and time and that doesn't have a language  You can also check Windows Update under the optional settings. You should be able to download it if you don't have it installed.

Click on Add a Language

Then Click on the language that you want

Playing:
-> Guild Wars 2
-> League of Legends

Thanks! I had been clicking on options next to the English icon; now I tried clicking on the Add a language it worked a treat!

Thanks for the diagrams too!
