Hi

I have a perfectly functional whs2011 instal but would love to tinker with AD and server 2012 as my home solution. Storage spaces would be awesome too. However I can't find it for less than $1000 here with a fair bit of searching whereas its 400 usd or 500nz.

Can anyone tell me if the us versions are region locked?

Anyone else played with this as a home solution?

Thanks

Ivan

About half of the prices for Server Essentials 2012 on Geekzone Price are in the $500 range...

Actually those $500 prices are for academic and mostly out of stock, wondered why they could do it for half price.

Good to know, I didn't drill down to each stock.
