Could not really find the info I needed on this but I have recently changed to vdsl and the wireless box is currently feeding the house for internet. The box is in a different room and to run cat5 anywhere else would be a major mission. In the lounge is my htpc (this connects to the wireless vdsl box) which feeds my hd tv. What I wanted to do is run a network cable as well from the htpc to my laptop via a gigabit router. Is there anyway I can have my laptop accessing the internet via the vdsl wireless modem but if I wanted to transfer stuff from the htpc to my lappy it would use the network cable ??. I know this is a bit of a piss around but at the moment seems to be the only option I can think of at the moment.
