Is there any online site or any other method to find out how the kv rating of overhead lines in a certain area? Without having to actually go there and read the labels on side of poles.

Ive purchased a property with lines going over the bottom part of section.  Theres 3 sets of wires, each side, total 6, not pylons just concrete poles on the adjacent sections, so assuming probably 33kv.  I want to work out emf etc...

Those are 11kV.

They look like quite long insulators to me. More like 33kV than 11 kV would be my guess.

I would call the power company and ask. Failing that the local tree cutting contractor.

I am in the "11kV" camp...

They look like pin insulators.

Definitely just local town reticulation, so only 11kV in my opinion, 33kV will use much longer insulators.

Here's a pic of the line to the first stage of Tararua Wind Farm on Fizherbert East Rd. There are two 33 kV circuits on top, 11 kV below, with an 11kV to 400V transformer under that. I still say that the insulators on the OP's pic are more similar to the 33 kV insulators on this line than the 11 kV ones.

Follow the line to the transformer, it is likely labelled. With the kV rating you can only work out electric field, not the more important magnetic field. That depends on the current through the wires, which varies all the time, so a spot field measurement is not good either.
