Hi all,

Thought I would post my question here for some advice on a central splitter. My Aunty in Auckland has a St Johns monitored alarm which calls back to the Ops centre in case of emergency and she is considering dropping the dailup connection and going on an ADSL plan soon.

The main issue being she has had conflicting information about needing a Central filter installed. My understanding has always been that one will be required.

If so what would be considered a fair price for installation for a pensioner do you think? Appreciate your input chaps.

Regards ... Dean

Many thanks to all ...always very helpful forum to be a part of. Coffebaron I will pass that on as a guide for her, many thanks.

I would recommend you based on the feedback from the Forum here but the final decision rests with my Auntie. If she does decide to go ahead with it I'll forward you on her details.

Appreciate your input ...thanks
