Hi

im looking at moving into Vino Cina Heights, Ranui, Waitakere City, Auckland

this street and the 2 surrounding streets cant be found in the chorus tool, SNAP address tool etc

this subdivision is approx 1-1.5 years old

On Vino Cina Heights road, <75 metres from the property im looking at, there is a cabinet labeled      MSY DW - i also cannot find this cabinet in any of the chorus spreadsheets.

Is anyone able to tell me what services i can get here? Could this be a BOF fibre area which is why i cant find it? I looked on the xnet website but it didn't list this sub division

thanks

FWIW, I don't know the area, and there a couple of people, like coffeebaron, who probably have an excellent local knowledge.

However, the MSY / DW cabinet does not appear to be either a xDSL whisper cabinet, or a UFB cabinet - looks like a passive jumper.

That area does seem to be fully enclosed by the MSY / DF cabinet, with the entire area getting ADSL services from it. It doesn't look like VDSL polygon covers the entire area (particularly the central bit where you would be), but perhaps that has changed?

Doesn't seem to be listed on their website... Only one listed for Ranui is Titoki Rise.

That cabinet will have a PCM system in it for voice but probably nothing for broadband. Usually there will be a cabinet next to these old ones housing an ASAM or Conklin.

Maybe just ring WxC and see what they say.

I'm fairly sure all the BoF subdivisions are being converted to UFB in the next few months, which would give you more choice of ISP.
