rscole86: I live on the borders of Waitangirua/Ascot Park/Whitby, and get 16/0.9 with Telecom as my ISP. I get consistently high speeds, and cannot complain about the service at all. And at $99 for 150GB, cannot complain about the cost either.

Thanks for the Reply.
I think I am going to go with either Snap! or Slingshot as Snap! has really good feed back and Slingshot has decent pricing on thrir packages.
Have just over a week until the big move back so still looking into other options

I recommend you read through the Slingshot forum here.... I would highly recommend if you're not going with Telecom then go with Snap.

I work for Spark, but as always my views are my own.

Hey,

We are on SNAP VDSL here in Tawa, it's $115 per month for 250GB... 40Mbps/10Mbps.
I can max the line out at around 3.5MBps while 3 VOIP lines are in use.

Would definitely recommend them!

Thanks man.
The fiance seems convinced now WinkThats about what we are paying for Telstra (Or "Hellstra" as they are known over here) ADSL2+ and a 200gb limit.
We contacted Telstra today and seemingly moving to New Zealand is a valid excuse to get out of your contract without them charging you a cancelation fee! lol

Another vote for Snap here too. I pay $90pm (or possibly $95) that gets me 155 gig and all I can eat youtube. Plus they have a steam server zero rated as well as Quickflix is zero rated as well (although the NZ content isn't even close to that available in Aus).

No complaints in speed either and I do a lot of downloading and gaming is pretty much most of the day at home (even more when I'm home lol).

I would also recommend if you know where you're moving to possibly getting in contact with them first to make sure you can sign up at your address in a timely manner as all isp's are not equal when it comes to getting connected quickly. If you can get and or afford to get vdsl many on here seem to think it's pretty great.

Thanks for that as for your question I'm not sure as live in Wellington and don't have vdsl but I have read up on it on here. GZ is truly a great pool of info for practically anything not just the Geek stuff. Check the search out for VDSL quesries as pretty sure that's been covered quite a few times. If not Googles always another option (just misses the personal touch).

Best of luck with the move back and whoever you choose to go with in the end. :-)

Thanks for the link.
Only problem is I have no idea where the Cabinet  is so this is what I am trying to find out.
Wish the ISPs listed their Cabinets like they do over here.
Also looking around on here I see most people are charged $200-$350 for a new master splitter to be installed but on the Snap sign up page they have the wiring charge as $402.50.
Is this a new flat rate they are doing or can I get it cheaper if I go through Chorus?
Thanks for all the replys. You have all been a huge help :)
