Awesome! Great to hear. Would hate to think how much data needs to be transferred across!

Thanks Chorus. There was some good constructive feedback in this thread - it's great to know that it's been taken on board. Well done.

timmmay: Interesting, Wanganui isn't scheduled for UFB in the first 3 years. Guess I won't upgrade my Mum to that then.

Wanganui isn't a Chorus UFB zone at all so Chorus will "never" provide UFB there. Fibre may, however, be available from a different company.

Great stuff! I use Chorus SAT several times per day. I don't know what I'd do without it! I actually like the layout of the new map too. It is a bit more intuitive. Once all the SAT information is in there it will be a great improvement! :)

Looks like this is about to close, but still no cabinet ID's showing on

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their ADSL broadband network faster. Why not spend a couple of hundred to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
Geekzone special price: $150* for master splitter install, normally $200+ through your ISP. Auckland and Waikato areas.
*Travel charges may apply. Additional costs may apply for complex installs.
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, RBI Rural Broadband. Also a dealer for WorldxChange.

If you work for an ISP you can request access to Chorus to CCM.  Which is Chorus' B2B tool which has all the information (and more).

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

If you dont work for an isp how do you find out the info which was avail on the chorus sat? i get customers asking me sometimes and now i cant get any info to give them. woud it be helpfull if i put up a google map on my own personal website with a form where people can add the cabinet names and addresses plus additional info that might be known about a particular cabinet?

We recognise the SAT has more detail than the UFB map as it stands, so we recognise your concerns about its closure. We are in the process of transferring a lot of this information to the UFB map. VDSL was intended to be shifted across by the end of the month meaning the UFB would have the same coverage information as SAT. However, we have also found that the cabinet and exchange boundaries also have high use so we are now in the process of including that into the UFB map as well.

We will leave SAT running as we transfer this information which should be over the next two weeks.  Thanks for all the great feedback and support.

Has this information been transferred across yet?

Thanks.

I'm having trouble accessing it, which is why I asked whether it's been transferred over.

Nope the new map doesn't have any of the useful old information like cabinet name, exchange name etc,

Doubt they have any intention of adding it, tbh.
