Just saw a tweet from TUANZ's Katherine Hall saying "Paul Brislen to lead TUANZ into the future #tuanz"...

This is an interesting development.

Wonder if he can completely detach himself from his previous role without bias?

I also just got confirmation from Vodafone that Paul Brislen is indeed leaving the company.

This is an interesting development indeed. Paul is a person with strong views and can easily articulate his thoughts. He's combative and sticks to his guns. He can clearly lead TUANZ to a new level.

Tex Edwards won't be happy about that.

its like musical chairs, with Paul leaving for TUANZ and Bryony Hilless (2degrees commnuicaitons head) leaving to Alcatel-Lucent, when the music starts playing they get up and move around to the next seat.

Hi all, yes it's true. I'm off to TUANZ as the chief executive. I start in February after a nice long summer.

To answer the questions so far: Yes, I can. Tex will be fine. The chairs are indeed musical!

I was a reporter for a decade before joining Vodafone and when I said I was coming over to the dark side (TM) there were plenty of folk who said I would struggle as I'd been such a vigorous reporter on the telco sector. I would hope those skills haven't entirely deserted me.

Good luck with it all,

Cheers

Paul

Please note I have changed the existing "PaulBrislen" account to "VFNZPaulBrislen".

Since Paul is leaving Vodafone today the existing "VFNZPaulBrislen" account will no longer be monitored.

Paul may be creating a new account here later.

All the best in your new role, when you finally get to sit in the hot seat!!

No surprise that this pro-Vodafone site endorses him!

This site is not pro-Vodafone or pro-[any other operator]. What you are reading are individual opinions.

I personlly had many conflicts with Paul as Vodafone Head of Communications - read my blog and you will see it. But one thing is the "Vodafone Head of Communications" and another thing is "Paul Brislen".

Hopefully Paul will stick around on GZ, that level of direct contact with us mere mortals would be a refreshing change!

Good luck with the new role Paul!

This guy spun info and deceived many many VF customers around the iPhone 4 launch screw up, and many consider he was an outright liar. Not sure he'll be taken seriously as someone pretending to represent the issues of those very people he was so outrightly dishonest to.

JohnR you can attack me again all you like but I'm just expressing my opinion.
