tonyhughes: Speaking of 2Deg I need to get a SIM card for my Telecom Tab. I upgraded to the leaked/hacked Optus 2.2 and gave up my 850MHz XT capability.

And now I have an XT Prepaid SIM that has used data every day for 5 months and never been topped up. Need to find a use for that. (Maybe an Android phone).

Another user who comes here bragging about free Internet, and soon this will be "fixed" by some provider...

If they can find it lol.

SaltyNZ: Sigh... I knew we should have dropped a fibre in the trench when we moved the house there. If we ever get UFBed we will have to decline.

If you start digging now you might get to the fence by the time fibre is installed in your area :)

We have a customer who didn't think the price the fiber provider (I forget which one) quoted him (about 50K for 25m or so). He politely declined their offer to dig the trench and got out his spade and started digging instead :)
