I went the Nokia Care Suite route, their software is a bit crappy but it seemed to do the job: OS Version: 7.10.8773.98 Firmware: 1750.0805.8773.12220 Internet sharing is there in Settings, flip to silence works.

Okay Zune advised me today updates were available. Updated OS from 7.10.8107.79 initially to 7.10.8112.7 and then to 7.10.8773.98 Firmware still at 1600.2487.8107.12070 however. The firmware update, if I am reading correctly, is what actually delivers the internet sharing capability.

Ever since I updated my battery life has proven to be exponentially better. At the end of a days work, it was crying for me to plug it in to a computer. (which I could) After taking the phone of the charge this morning at 7AM I'm here at 7PM with 76% battery life. I used it all day. Work emails are to sync as soon as they arrive, I play games on my break, surf the web and listen to music on the bus. Not bad in my books, very happy :) Sometimes what you don't get it a blessing in disguise!

Telecom Nokia Lumia 800, Model 059N7B6 Yup thats correct, the firmware update is what we ae waiting for.........for internet shaing... funny there is nothing from telecom or nokia in the thread about this 2 out of 3 updates delivered...... apart from throttling but it seems dumb that after a week or 2 the firmware update is still not out... and the end of july is fast approaching....

Hey there, so ive been looking at the Telecom Nokia Lumia 710, was keen as mustard till i found if it does'nt have tethering, as i use my current android phone often as a wirless modem so i can access the internet on my tablet, and want the 710 to do the same. So i need to know for certain if the update for internet sharing is coming or not..ive been sucked into a phone before with 'promised' upgrades that never seem to eventuate.

The nokia updates site shows it as available http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/lumia/apac/availability/ Just talk to your telecom shop and make it a condition of sale if you re-read through this thread, im sure you will find people that are on telecom with 710 and 800 that have it. Its just 3 out of 4 lumia products are still waiting for it

Installed 2 updates so far on my Lumia 800 from Voda - will see if thats the lot shortly.

So my Lumia 800 has all updates now including internet sharing etc - despite the nokia site showing as waiting for approval.

Updates for my Vodafone Lumia 800 came thru on the weekend. OS Version: 7.10.8773.98 Firmware Revision: 1750.0805.8773.12220 I have Internet Sharing. Still waiting for some of the new camera apps though. I did get Play To (very cool) and Creative Studio

I got offered 2 updates over the weekend The phone is now at: OS Version 7.10.8773.98 Firmware: 1600.2487.8107.12070 Lumia 800 w/ Telecom 059N7D3 Model number awaiting 1 more hopefully soon :)
