I've just got the Nokia Lumia 800 and I'm having real trouble trying to connect my yahoo account.  When I set it up it says the password information is incorrect - which I know it isn't.  I've tried adding it manually but still not working - any help please?

I have just added my old Yahoo! account to my Nokia Lumia 800, no problems. Make sure you enter the email as ...@yahoo.com and the password is case sensitive.

Thanks for the quick response.  I've been really careful how I am putting in the information, and went by the Telecom shop and they couldn't sort it either.  I can see on a Google search there are other people experiencing the same but there is an absence in the solution department.

I think we have a solution for you... We have a few of the new Lumia 920 sent to some of our users to write reviews for the TelecomTech blog and someone had the same problem.

It appears the Windows Phone Yahoo! configuration accepts only letters in the password. If you have any special characters in your Yahoo! password, login to your account on a web browser and change the password to alpha and number characters only then try on the phone.

I had a problem adding a yahoo account to an HTC trophy. Perhaps i'll check the password thing and see if this was the issue (quite likely to have used non alphanumeric).
