Ruphus: After seeing a list of potentional defects that other people have with this phone, I would rather buy it from a store.

http://forums.wpcentral.com/lumia-920/202100.htm

If I found a problem with the phone whilst instore i.e. vibration issue or crackling sound, would I be able to reject the phone for another?

Gee after reading through that, it dampens my enthusiasm somewhat - it kinda feels awfully like WP 7.0 all over again.  Since the Mango update (WP7.5), my HTC Mozart finally become decently stable and reliable (18 or so months after purchase). I hope MS/Nokia get onto the bugs quicker this time....

I'm sure Nokia will be very quick in getting some updates/fixes out. They were pretty good with the Lumia 900 release. At the moment its hard to tell how widespread some of the reported issues are and whether or not its just expectations vs reality.

Is it just me or has the Ativ S disappeared off Warehouse Stationary's site?

Bit annoyed, I had been planning on putting in a preorder tonight

The money has been that WP8 was rushed to market, and if this turns out to be the case (reality?), then obviously those of us used to the stability of WP7.5 are going to be disappointed (expectation). I'll remain hopeful micronokia will burn the midnight oil to get it right pretty quickly...

The Warehouse Stationary site has been saying for weeks that the Ativ will be available 11th of December... so I would say it now being removed is a sign of more delays on top of that. I would not expect it worldwide this year.

Seems as though every WP8 model has massive supply issues, or just maybe massive issues that are holding up supply... I could be wrong though and they could just be botching up the rollout.

Here's hoping that the date is right but the price is wrong.

What's wrong with the price? This is a 32GB model with free offline GPS naviagtion, superb camera and great build quality for $999. iPhone 32GB costs $1199.

I would pay $999 for it, but I think anyone would prefer a lower price.

However, if that includes a wireless charger, like the UK supplier is doing, that would be an amazing deal (probably shouldn't get my hopes up on that one though).
