My Lumia came up with "sim card invalid" randomly out of the blue this afternoon. Took it in to the Telecom store and they changed the sim but it still said "sim card invalid". They tried to factory restore it but after 45 minutes it's still on the loadings cogs. They are keeping it over night and if the restore doesn't work then they said they will send it away. If its sent away they say it can take 10-12 working days to get it back. I've only had the handset for 5 days and this already. I'm not going to be impressed if I have to wait that long to get it back, especially after the stuffing around my Telecom to finally get it in the first place.

They said in store if they had yellow ones they would have swapped it then and there for a new one, why should it be any different if I brought it through their online store :(

Either. But certainly can see that FB is not correctly populating.

They're back! (FB chat was OFF - dunno how that happened, I sure didn't do it). Turned it back on and all is well again.

One thing I hoped Portico might fix (reset) was my Exchange connection. It's still set to 'push' - but just polls every 15 minutes, as it's always done on my 920.

This happenned after I changed phones from my Samsung i917.

I guess what I'd like to do is completly remove my Exhchange connection/profile - and hopefully on re-connecting it will pick it up from scratch again, and start "push"ing - instead of polling like it is.

But I don't know how to do that.

I've already disconnected the phone from Exchange, turned off the Exchange "Mobile Serivies" - everything. And then re-connected, but to no avail.

Shame really that Messenger is gone so the "Online Messaging" is really just Facebook.

I said before, the whole "People" in Windows Phone 8 should be plugin based so new platforms could be added without the need of a OS update.

For example, right now they should have Skype users in that list, as well as Facebook and Messenger (which is gone). Instead we have a half baked Skype experience (I don't get notifications of incoming IM or incoming calls) and a half baked Facebook experience.

Never had a problem with Exchange - I have push enabled and it just works. I am using Microsoft Office 365. What provider are you using? Perhaps their configuration is the problem?

Can't be Exchange, other users are just fine. Just me, and only happened when I changed phones from the Focus to the Lumia.

The only thing that is gone is a Messenger desktop app, Mesenger on the phone, on the Xbox etc continues to be available, to be supported etc

I think I've fixed my Exchange connection - deleted from phone, turned off mobile services in Exchange, changed primary e-mail addy (I think that might have done it), turned on moble services, reconnected to phone - still synching - will update with the results after a test e-mail. :)

There is nothing updated there on Portico around EAS push because there are no known issues to fix

You can remove your exchange profile and re add it from settings, email + accounts

I'd be looking into your infra, exchange config, firewalls, mobile broadband APN configuration to see what is broken there because Exchange push to the phone over EAS does work
