I start the camera, set flash to ON and it flashes in every photo. Have you tried

a) camera reset (if the option is available in the camera settings)?
b) phone reset (who knows, solves lots of things)?

Just did (b) but this did not fix this issue.

If I set the Focus Assist Light to ON, Flash ON, the flash assist light will light up but the flash itself will not work. Subsequent pictures, Focus Assist Light and Flash are not working at all.

It seems like flash only work ONCE in my camera app, flashlight app(s).

Time to return the phone?

Search/ask in the Nokia forums, then if you bought it in a store, take it back and demo the issue. Depending on how long you've had it, they'll either replace it or it'll be a warranty fix. Call Nokia about a warranty repair. The main thing is to get the issue recorded with them.

Just be wary of losing the phone for an extended period. I only had my Lumia 800 for 10 months out of 12 due to 2 minor warranty issues.

Nokia released the PhotoBeamer application last night for Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. Anyone tried it yet?

I saw this earlier today but it is not listed in the Marketplace yet.

If you browse to the link on your phone it'll launch the marketplace and install it

Just installed it on my 920 and works well, it's not quite as instant as on the video and there's the image takes a second or so to display fully.. could just be the DSL upload

But still, very useful for quickly showing pictures

Any 920 users able to test whether it supports USB OTG?

EDIT: Computer says no. Shame, I'd hoped Nokia might have included that, since they basically championed its use in the mobile space from the outset.

Is anybody having trouble sending mms to vfnz users from your Lumia 920 on XT? I've sent myself some photos via mms and they are all received, but two of my friends are on vfnz and since I jumped on to XT when I got this phone, they haven't been able to receive my mms...

Could be a combination of HW and SW.

If a reset has not solved the problem then I would suggest taking it back to your place of purchase.

Very happy with phone. Only issue so far:

Flew from Christchurch, on Wednesday. Tried to connect to the free wifi in the terminal - phone froze and had to reset. Froze again, so didn't bother reconnecting. Flew out again on Saturday, same issue.

Everywhere else pretty much works except for a hotel service in Q'town where it wouldn't connect (login via webpage after creating account).

Anyone elses freeze in Christchurch airport when connecting to their wifi?

BrentR:
JamesL:
freitasm: Nokia Maps update available. Second one this week. Good to see things rolling out.

And a little boy waits for network+, call+sms, feedback to nokia etc ;)

This is quite odd that you've yet to receive any updates.

I assume your time/date and region settings, APN settings settings are all correct?

Also, is your Microsoft account and New Zealand account or overseas?

@BrentR any advice you can provide about this?
On day 1, I turned the phone on, set everything up and there was a Nokia Lens update notification pushed to my phone shortly after. But no automated notifications since....

Oddly, when @freitasm posted there was a Maps update, I went in to the Store, looked in Maps and there it was offering me to update. I didn't update and instead existed the Store and there was now an update notification on my Store Live Tile.

I followed these steps with a couple of other apps and the same thing has happened. More notifications manually showing up on my Store Live Tile.

It seems as if automated notifications aren't being pushed to my phone.

Tried resetting phone and still no difference.....

I've phoned TNZ and they are at a loss (spoken to 3 people, none of whom even have a Lumia 920 or WP8 to troubleshoot from...)
They were quick to blame Microsoft/Nokia for the issue.... If there's any help I'd appreciate it.

The notifications show up eventually. If you don't see a notification but go to an app listing then it will show to you, otherwise it will slowly be distributed to all users. Has been always like this, even in previous Windows Phone versions.

i brought a 920 on saturday at dicksmith, and after spend a few hours installing all my app and setting up the phone.. then i only had the time to really look at the build quality, i was very impress only until i realise there is starches on the screen. man so much gorilla glass 2. Going to return to dicksmith and ask for a replacement.

i guessing this is a manufacture defect..there is no way i can starch the screen using my figers lol. other than that this phone is awesome.

So this morning I decide to configure my Wifi and within 20 minutes all the outstanding notifications came through. Did I miss anywhere that this was a pre-requisite for notifications to be pushed through? Is it?
