^ Nice. So that Dubai based website is good to deal with that you linked earlier? How fast was shipping? Any carrier logo on device boot up?

Very good to deal with.

They shipped on Thursday, it got to Sydney on Friday, Auckland Saturday, customs on Monday, overnight to Christchurch and delivered today.

No carrier logo, unlocked. Only downside is the included power adapter isn't AU/NZ.

Total cost was NZD$854 inc shipping. Customs didn't charge me anything.

So glad I waited for a red one, this thing is awesome.

Edit: Just noticed another difference. It comes included with Al Jazeera apps.

Pfft .. Although I did want cyan, but we can't get that. Couldn't get yellow as I'm a one eyed Cantabrian and could never be seen with Wellington colours .. so red was the obvious choice :P

Also when playing music mine crackles when you push volume up or down from 15-30, as mentioned in the nokia forums:

Anyone else have this?

My wife's Lumia 920 is going back to Telecom for replacement and they emailed today saying that they expect the new stock by the 12th, so sit tight.

You could call them and see if you can pre-order or reserve one. Not sure if Telecom do that but they might. You can buy the phone outright and put whatever sim you have into it. The only downside is an ugly Telecom logo at boot, but you won't normally ever see that.

Not getting this issue on my 920. Sound is all good.

If you bought it from Telecom, take it into any Telecom shop and demonstrate the issue. If you're in your 7 day return period, consider getting a replacement. Otherwise you'll need to figure out whether to wait for a software fix or return it for repair, which may also result in replacement.

Would be great to hear what apps people are finding the most useful/fun.

Would anyone care to share their list?
