Have to say Nokia has very good designers. Their Lumia handsets look good.

I think it looks pretty smart. Current exchange rate makes that bang on NZD$300. Plus 20 odd bucks for youshop...?
Hmm!

Cheers,
Joseph

Would be awesome if it was cheaper than the HTC 8S which is already at a pretty good price at Vodafone. Also in other news Nokia 820 coming soon to Vodafone: https://www.vodafone.co.nz/coming-soon/

I did a search for the Lumia 620 yesterday on the Vodafone website and got a result for the how-to guide PDF.

It's not there today though. Sealed

I see strange times ahead for the smartphone market. Samsung are dropping Android, Apple is not innovating with iOS and Windows Phone may just have the phone it needs in the 620.

They are moving to their Tizen OS which I gather was developed in conjunction with Intel.

I don't know that Samsung are dropping Android but certainly trying remove their heavy reliance on outside OS providers.  Also as the linked article mentions they want some of the after sales action with their own app store.

Tizen is closely related to Nokia's Meego platform which at one stage was being developed in conjunction with Intel.  So I guess it's no surprise Intel is involved with Tizen as well.

Not a big surprise, gives them much greater control over the software and 90% of people wouldn't realise the difference as long as Samsung kept TouchWiz familiar looking and had some kind of Android app emulation system

Shouldn't be too hard I imagine as I understand there's ways now of porting Android apps to Meego.
