I was very impressed with the 8S in the hour or so I had to play with it. It feels well built, it looks sexy, and as far as I can tell WP8 performs at least as well as I'd expect, if not better.
I like it. I shall probably get one in the New Year, as it looks like it'll be our new official work smartphone, replacing the Samsung Omnia W which has gone end of line.

So i have gone back to my S3 for now, was at the gym yesterday and xbox music was having major drama's and then streamed music which were on the device (used 200megs 3G data, and this is with "use xbox music" options set to no).

Until spotify is released (and i hope it will use SD for music files) then i can't use a phone that i don't trust to not use 3g data without warning me.

Also as there is no way to track the data on the phone you have no idea how much you have used unless you check telecom/vodafone website

Is this coming to 2Degrees at all? I figure if it's with Telecom and Vodafone then 2Degrees is a sure bet.

Google windows phone 8 data sense, it looks to offer a solid solution to the problem. I think I read it is a feature hat needs to be instigated by the carrier, maybe someone from telecom could clarify and comment?

The beats audio on the HTC 8s is nice. I thought it was a gimmick but when plugging the phone into some desktop speakers it made quite a difference in volume and sound. I compared with a Nokia Lumia 920 (with and without Dolby sound turned on) and the HTC with beats audio on seemed much better to me.
