12th October 2.30am NZ time, microsoft will reveal the devices live on webcast.

Because no device was announced? As posted, official launch is 11th October (12th October NZ time).

Interesting to see such a big chunk of info on hand prior to the official launch. No doubt there will be more info after that.

83 apps. Developers submissions start today. 1000 apps will be submitted today and another 1000 tomorrow. By 21st october there should be 2000+ apps in the marketplace.
