Hey guys,

Im getting into wp7 development and I must say being a .net developer how easy it is to go straight into wp7 development.  Very easy to pick up and get into,  certainly helps with the wp7 tools Microsoft provide.

I am creating a App at the moment and have recently joined the App Hub membership and have been geotrust certified so I can post my apps onto the marketplace.

The next step for me is Microsoft are asking for a TIN number so they don't withhold tax, to provide a w-8 form and a VAT number.

Im looking for some help with this from any fellow developer who have been through this process and can give me some tips on completing this.  e.g. What do I provide as a VAT number? Swift codes etc.

cheers

Hey Mudz. It all sounds confusing but is pretty straightforward.

1. Google or ring your bank to find out the SWIFT code
2. Ring the USA IRS to get a TIN
3. Fill in the W8 form and physically post it to Microsoft

PM me with your email and I'll send you a copy of my W8-BEN as an example. Mine is done as a sole trader business, but it's pretty similar to an individual.

Ben.
