coffeebaron: Yea, since I didn't win the 2degrees Lumia 800 last night, the 900 will probably be my next phone. Heard there is a DC (duel carrier) version being released for the non US market?

Duel SIM??

Dual Carrier HSPA+ which does NOT mean it is dual SIM or that you can use it on two networks at the same time, it is merely a way of getting faster data speeds.

More info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC-HSPA%2B

Dual. Dual. Not duel.

Any disadvantages in ordering a 900 from overseas (eg Clove)? Is Nokia's warranty worldwide?

I think Clove provide a decent warranty on all handsets they sell. You will need to ship it back to them (at your expense) if you need to make use of the manufacturer warranty I believe. This is one of the catches when buying from overseas.

Workstation: Intel DH67CL ~ i5-2500 ~ 4GB Corsair RAM (x2) ~ Intel X25-M 80GB SSD

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 1564 ~ i5-520M ~ 4.00GB RAM ~ 500GB SATA HDD ~ Win7 Home Premium x64

Common misconceptions.

Just looking at the reviews coming out now (the embargo's been lifted in the US)... The glass on the Lumia 900 doesn't "merge" with the body and it's not curved, like the one in the Nokia Lumia 800 (from the Engadget review):

It only affected some handsets, not all. And Nokia is paying *ALL* users a compensation, straight away. And since it's software, it's planned to be fixed by next Monday. Or you can buy a new one with the fix already applied.

A lot better than a badly designed smartphone that needed a special case just to get some signal.

Agreed, much better handled than Apple. Never had any issues with my Nexus S :)

I've earned the money - just waiting for the opportunity to buy.

How does one transfer data from a SIM to a microSIM?

Will NZ ever have an LTE network?

For 2degrees apparently you need to buy a "blank" micro sim from a retailer and then ring them to switch your number to it. Nobody knew what I was talking about so I ended up cutting my standard sim down with scissors, works perfectly.Cool

Do we have any sort of released date for the New Zealand version of the 900 in NZ yet?

Leave your old SIM in your old phone and use the contacts transfer app on the new Nokia to connect to it via bluetooth & extract the contacts. Worked a treat on the Lumia 800. Contacts are still accessible even after number has been transferred from old SIM to new microsim.
Doesn't move txts though.

With a SmartPhone, is there actually any data stored on the SIM?
