aaah good work on the picks. Yeah only one replay for me - couldnt even stream any of the live games either!

I think the xbox nba gametime service isnt up in NZ yet. I checked the AUS Xbox page and it lists it as active but this is missing on the NZ Xbox page.

Also the replay I did watch was shocking quality yet I could stream it through my PC at full 3000kbit

So it seems the application is available however the actual NBA Game time service isnt available for NZ yet. HOWEVER why wont Xbox actually tell us anything about this?

If you look here (the AUS xbox status you can see NBA Gametime service is active)

and on the NZ Xbox status there is no NBA Gametime service at all

paid: Only one replay was available.. I've fired off an email asking for my money back on my league pass. If this is how it's going to be, then 2 out of 3 ways to watch, don't work.. Nt good enough.

Also, my picks were bang on ;)

that's the reason why i can't watch another game last night.

It really does just look like it the service hasn't properly been turned on. I'm getting Blackout Restriction errors now, when before I was just getting a video can't load error. 

I can watch the games I'm getting Blackout errors on on my PC however, so somethings not working right.

I hit up the xbox new zealand facebook page and twitter - both say no information and they will look into it. But it seems the service hasnt been turned out.

I can watch all games fine from my pc and phone!

Just browsing the Xbox forums, it seems like this is a pretty common problem overseas.

There's a few threads about it there. Seems like a problem they need to get sorted on their end, doesn't seem like just NZ either.

Ok! So I've been on the customer support chat for like an hour, and managed to get some of the live games working. Seems like the ones listed as NBA TV don't work, even though they do on PC. But I have the Memphis/Clippers game streaming now.

Can't get most of the replays to work, was only able to get 1 to work. The rest give me a Sorry video not available error.

Dashboard -> Select Settings -> Select Storage -> Select Hard Drive -> Select Games and Apps Folder

Look in the folder for corrupted and incomplete data. You will know it is corrupted by a yellow caution symbol or an exclamation point. If anything is corrupted, please delete it.

Back out and go into the Gamer profile folder
Select your gamertag and delete the profile only.

Back out to the hard drive -> Select Hard Drive -> Select System Items -> Select Marketplace System Data and delete -> Select Rights Database and delete -> Back out to the Hard drive

Press the Y button on your controller and clear the system cache, Press the Y button again and clear the system cache again.
Turn off your Xbox and Turn back on.

Select download profile
Type in your windows live id and password
Your profile should start to download

Redownload the App, and try watch a game.

Thanks I tried all of that can get some games to work but not all, it does look like we are getting blacked out of games even tho with international league pass we should get access to everything?

Anyone know how to get in contact with NBA?

Thanks - will hit up all those options for some answers. I think they have just not rolled it out totally to NZ or a few other markets.

But they still should have had this sorted before the season started.

The live games are in great quality but even with a good internet connection I cannot get a replay to go over 1 bar quality on the xbox. Can stream same replay on the PC at 3000kb.

I'm getting 2 bars of most of the replays. Using the mini guide thing I seem to be able to get access to most of them.

Still can't get the ones with the NBA TV banner thing though. Wonder if they'll become available.

I can finally see Xbox NBA Gametime service has been updated as "Up and running" on the xbox status page


Can anyone confirm this makes a difference for today's game?

Just got this in an email from xbox forums

Reply from the developer of the app.

As for the Xbox app:

We have heard your concerns, and we are working to resolve all issues related to our new Xbox 360 NBA application.

Our goal is to release an Xbox app update very soon that addresses the 'blackout' issues some users have experienced.

Only customers in Canada/Spain should expect blackouts due to certain regional and national television broadcasts.

We expect that, out of approximately 40 games over the next few days, roughly six (6) will exhibit blackout issues -- regardless of your region / country of residence.

We appreciate your patience; we fully expect this issue to be resolved next week.

***If you are having any other issues with the Xbox 360 application, please contact Microsoft support. Please use the information below:

It is even worse today - only half an hour before all the games are due to start that I can actually watch live and the application wont even download the images for the nba teams let alone stream video!

Anyone else getting it to work?
