Goto twitch then.. was buffering like crazy on my 50mbit connection too.. even on twitch it is starting to bomb out at 360p.

You would think they would have expected the demand on the streams and had enough bandwidth but obviously not.

like the idea of games allowing a 'director' to alter the levels. kinda like an AD&D GM for Playstation

"PS3 games not natively supported on PS4 BUT cloud gaming will enable ANY device to play PS 1, 2 and 3 games. no need for backwards compatability

No more than streaming video I would think, which I do a lot already and don't get near my 150GB cap, which isn;t even the biggest one I can get

Ha yeah, now you've got a highly detailed awkwardly moving thunderbirds puppet getting in to the car.

Sorry but that whole social integration angle for gaming specifically is not for me personally.  I'm thinking that if Xbox gets a bluray drive then that would be the way to go, with it's native integration back into windows etc.

The apps side of thing is where the PS3 is falling over for me, like I'm stuck with the default video and music players etc, and I can't make it show the weather as an app or launch a trademe or facebook plugin etc.

Still waiting for the good stuff on it's specs/form etc.

old3eyes: Bet it won't allow you to play secondhand games on it..

I think this is the direction that all of the console manufactures what to take.

However. I don't think any of them will be the first to introduce it. Imagine if the Ps4 is launched with no support for second hand games. A few months later the new xbox is launched and its marketed with "support for second hand games".

I think they will all hold off with this. Its a feature that can always be introduced at any time. I suppose if Sony wanted to they could have already started rolling this out onto the PS3. Besides there is nothing stopping the game developers from doing this already.

I'm going to wait until the next gen xbox is announced before I decide which console to use as my secondary gaming device! I would wait until steambox, but I've got a PC with steam hooked up to the TV so meh same thing with more customisation :P
