Who is following the current data coming out?

The trailers are building up my anticipation for the game & I am going to get it on PC.  I don't know much about the new Multiplayer that it brings so would love to know any details about that.

Also keen to find some people that will have it on PC to try out the Multiplayer aspect!

I'm presuming it will all be done on Origin, has this gotten any better since December (haven't played BF3 for a while!)

Another great thing is the importation of your saves, like ME2 importing from ME it will take into account all of the choices you made in both of them with your stats & level coming through.  What happens if you deleted them you ask? There are some good sites out there that have saves or programmes that let you create them from scratch & you can replicate your results, ie if some of the characters died in the final stage of ME2 you wont see them in ME3.

Bring it on I say!

I absolutely cannot wait for this. I sold my Xbox a year ago and my saves were lost with it, so I replayed ME1 late last year and I'm 1/3 through ME2 at the moment, purely because I want to be able to have my save games mean something to the story in ME3, then I might just play through with no saved data and see what's different.

The latest cinematic trailer is amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhtcN7AAYxI

It certainly looks pretty impressive from the trailer, I played about an hour of the first one but didn't get into it. I've heard good things though.

What're peoples thoughts on the prior games - worth playing?

"You are" = "You're" - Not "Your".  "They are" = "They're" - Not "Their" or "There".  You probably mean "lose" not "loose".  There's no such word as "Alot".

Absolutely, it's one of the best sci-fi stories I have ever seen/heard/read/played.  Gameplay has gotten progressively better - there are some control frustrations in ME1 but they're pretty minimal.  Most definitely worth playing ME1 and ME2 prior to ME3 to get the full effect and back stories of the characters.

There are some interesting cross promotions, ie: make sure you play the Kingdoms of Amaluar demo (2GB download, ~45min to play) on Origin which will unlock a couple of items in Mass Effect 3

I'm currently replaying ME1 on Insanity to finish off some missing achievements and to hit level 60, then I'm going to play ME2 importing this character. You get a lot of bonuses for importing previous characters depending on your achievements.

It's a bit annoying ME3 is not going to be available on Steam and that you have to use Origin but not the end of the world.

The N7 digital deluxe edition is >$100 on Origin which is pretty pricey, there is a lot of bonus items over the standard edition though.  Apparently the N7 digital deluxe edition will get the controversial launch DLC "From Ashes" for free.

I'm 50/50 over whether I will pre order or buy at release or wait 6-12months. Have plenty of games in my queue due to last steam sales.

Shortly after I got my XBox I decided to get into the Mass Effect series with ME2. About 30 minutes in, I decided I HAD to get ME1 to fill in the blanks, and I'm so glad I did. It may be slower pace than ME2 but just hang on to the story, most other faults will melt away and you'll be pulled in. It made ME2 all the better.

I didn't realise there were save game editors and downloadable save games... can't say I'm overly pleased with some of my decisions along the way, some long thought over, especially during ME1, but that's what's so cool about this type of game. They were the decisions I chose at the time, I lived with the consequences, so I'll stick with them for ME3. If I had a month free, I'd be wrapt to go back and play both again before ME3.

This is without a doubt my game of 2012.

My PC is antique and gutless, so I wouldn't want to risk trying to play games on it. AFAIK ME1 wasn't released for PS3 so I'd have to get it for the 360, which is fine as I prefer the controller anyway.

Pretty sure I can scrounge copies from someone... :)

Maybe it's time to build a new gaming rig now that I've actually got room for one.

Rather disappointed we get it 3 days after the US, I know they'll claim shipping issues but it hasn't stopped them before.

I loved ME1. Played it through 3 times (normally i loose interest on the 1st play), but i didnt like ME2 at all.

I think it was the Inventory system that turned me off the most.

Ah nice.

I'm waiting to find out how much the Collectors Ed will cost from nzgameshop.

The regular is being sold for NZD64.99 by them, if anyone is keen!
