hi there,

have just managed to get a PS3 of a mate for next to nothing, tested and works fine at home using hdmi cable, have taken it to my flat where i have old phillips cvt tv so am using Av cable.

anyway, all plugged in but no picture or sound are coming up? any reason?

any help would be great, cheers, james

When you boot up the ps3 try holding the power button down for five seconds to turn it on, this gets the playstation to do an auto scan of available video outputs, I've had similar issues when first plugging mine in to an old rear projection tv that was 1080i limited.
