urban: Playing? far from it!

What I should probably do is bring my desktop to a mates place who is on another ISP and see if I can authenticate my install.

I just can't understand why it would not authenticate at my end at all.   Hardware firewall turned off, Software firewall off, Comodo off, even changed the port settings etc and still no luck.

If you've got BF3 and that authenticated fine, I don't see what ME3 would have a problem...

Plus I don't think it's connection related either. My guess is that you've got a bad CD key?

Tried to authenticate on another broadband connection, and the same problem persists.

I've been trying to get them to give me a cd key for a direct download from origin, but to no avail yet.

Did you get your copy from a local vendor? If parallel imported (it won't have the NZ R13 rating sticker), maybe the CD key is region locked or something...(I know fishpond parallel import from the UK).

I got my collectors edition from Mighty Ape and it arrived on 9th March, whereas yours arrived on 23rd March?

Got mine from NZGAMESHOP, took nearly 3 weeks to arrive...

Does your collectors edition state where it was made? Australia? Mine has EU on it.

I didn't think it would be a regional thing, seeing as xbox pal games from uk work fine here.

There are other people out there who have the same problem too

There was another forum, perhaps in bioware's own was a thread about activation too.

My ME3:CE shows "Manufactured in Australia". There were two serial keys with the game - 20 character key for the game itself, and a 16 character key for the collectors edition content. (I also got a pre-order bonus which was another 16 character key).

The PC tech support forum on bioware is at http://social.bioware.com/forums/forum/1/category/344/index

edit: added BSN link
