Topic # 112088 26-Nov-2012 10:56 Send private message

I had a phone call with WxC COO Tim Smith this morning and was told of new Fusion plans coming 1st December 2012. Just received more information to post here:

The plans, which are effective on 1 December, are designed to refresh our datacaps and pricing for our Fusion Plans, and to offer a unlimited national calling bundle that ensures that we are offering strong market competitive solutions to our Customers.

The new plans are the result of feedback received from our customers, via our recent residential customer survey and from our passionate and loyal followers on Geekzone.

I have attached an image of our splash page which outlines the plans. They are pretty self-explanatory but let me know if you want any more specific information. (Note: the splash page will be released online later today and may have a few tweaks to wording, but the detail is as outlined.)

The plans are available to existing and new customers however our initial focus is to contact all existing Fusion and Fusion over Fibre Customers by phone over the next 2-3 weeks so that they have the opportunity to convert to these plans prior to Christmas.

Nice one! Fusion 40 over fibre sounds great for me!

I'm locked into contract but am I right to assume that I can at least switch plans? :)

We are currently trialing UFB, but not actively selling it at this point.  These plans are for our current BoF services.

Well done, this is great to see.

Are there any other changes to be aware of between these plans and the older generation(s)? For example the current plans stop you (as opposed to the previous throttling) when you hit your cap.

what's with 'FREE' next to every plan. It looks like the only difference between the plans is the amount of data.

Perhaps "included" would be a better description?

Great news, as of yesterday had decided I had waited long enough for new plans and time to change.... now I don't have to and I get to stay with XNet :)

I presume local traffic will remain free?

Tweaks are being made as per the initial post, doco above is a draft format - prices are all valid though :)

That is the only real difference (if you're on a grandfathered plan), these plans will stop if you have a datacap set (you can add more data via the Xport portal) as per the current/soon to be grandfathered Fusion plans.

One other slight change is none of these plans include any SuperCap calling.  You can still get the SuperCap plans and the new $10 unlimited* national landline minutes.  However your best to check with Sales as to what would be suitable if you're a heavy tolls user.

*fair use policy applies

Should local traffic like email and xnet website stop when the cap is reached? My parents are setup for that but I know the first month everything seemed to stop but I have a feeling last month they may have continued to get emails?

Are clothed broadband plans getting any changes?

Cheers,
