kyhwana2:Oop, just called up, got told that the sales person would have to check with their manager, since that fusion plan "comes with VFX" even though I didn't want it setup <.< Getting a call back tomorrow, apparently. That callback should confirm it's ok to not setup the VFX side of things, it will still be part of the plan and you'll be able to set it up at a later date if you want to. PM me if you have any problems.

Cameronn: Yes there is no contract on these plans, if you are currently on a contract with us you can switch to these plans and keep the existing contract (if you've done 6 months of a 12 month contract, you'll still only have 6 months left). Does this go for new fibre connections too?

Yes this applies to new fibre connections, no contract on the new plans and if you're on a current contract you're allowed to change without any penalty as per the above.

Wow, that was easy. I switched over the Fusion 40 plan, since I usually use ~20-30GB a month at the moment.

fyscdaniel: same old question, 64kbps or not allowed using anything after over data cap? Once capped you are locked to Xnet sites/Services only, it's not speed restricted to 64k/64k. You can however change the datacap via the Xport portal to continue using the service without any browsing restrictions.

I appreciate this is going OT, but to satisfy curiosity, can you access anything that is normally considered local traffic, or just the Xport portal to allow management?

I'll have to take a look at this and come back to you. Fairly certain you can access Xnet email & DNS servers, I think there is other local content which works but I'll need to confirm.

i have shifted to BOF05 Plan now but it looks like thete is mo option that i can set up any data cap?

I've had a bit of a look at this, you can access anything which is local/non-rated data. This means you can access Isky.co.nz, Xnet Email, Xnet VFX services, mirror.xnet.co.nz, you should even be able to access Gameplanet gaming servers (assuming your game client doesn't have to connect to anything else). Anything which isn't non-rated will direct you to the you've gone over your datacap page.

Ragnor: Good to finally see price changes for the BOF users! Unfortunately for ADSL2+ none of the plans are competitive enough... For the price of Fusion 60 you can currently get 150GB on Telecom (create your own, no additional calling plan, $10 loyalty discount off the $99 list price) or on Snap you can create a 120GB plan for $90... basically not compelling enough for anyone who uses more than 60GB/month. Well done, Xnet! Now your price is not shameful, just bad.
