I'm trying to setup my phone to do Internet Calling but can't seem to get a registration going.

I've tried the details on SipDroid and it works just fine but I want use the native Gingerbread support for SIP

My settings are as follows:

Username: my UserID
Password: my AuthPassword
Server: pan.wxnz.net
Optional Settings >
Display Name: my AuthUser
Outbound Proxy: left blank
Port: 5060
Transport Type: UDP

I get the message
Primary account. Account registration failed: (xport.co.nz); will try later.

If I switch the UserID for the AuthUser, then I get a different error:
Primary account. Account registration failed: (transaction terminated); will try later.

I didn't mistype anything as all values have been copied and pasted.

I see.  I was hoping that one of those options in my phone stood for auth username.

It's supposed to have been fixed on Gingerbread 2.3.3

What I have given above are the only options I can set.

I might have to cancel in favour of iTalk or 2Talk since they use the phone number for both user and auth user

up to you on that, but we won't compromise our security by allowing a single user and auth detail i'm afraid.

There have been numerous discussions on here lately regarding SIP softphones on Android and VFX. A search might help you.

Maverick, this is of interest to me also. Have Xnet/WXC done any testing of Android SIP apps at all? Be good to find something that has been tested and recommended.
