We've been with Xnet for quite a few years now and thought about switching to Telecom earlier last week. Spookily Maverick suddenly announced an updated price was due last week, which is now this week :) I hope the carrot will be worth the wait...

Move along... nothing to see here...

I notice on the bottom of the Xnet Internet page there is a section:

Future Options
Keep watching this space, as Xnet looks to add more Broadband offers, including VDSL, other DSL providers, other fibre providers and even services across the Government UFB initiative

Most of that makes sense, but what's the deal with 'other DSL providers'??

Far out. I hope the new Fusion over fibre prices are that good. It depresses me looking at other Telco/ISP pricing, knowing that I can't change provider...

Good to know that I'm not alone. Now Xnet has to recalculate their coming plans. It takes another couple months.

Naa, SHDSL is pretty much obsolete now AFAIK.  Besides, I would have thought they would say 'DSL Technologies' rather than 'providers'...

Anyone actually getting a result when using the Orcon tool for checking when fiber is coming to your street? And is the 100Mb/50Mb plan for real? I thought that is only for business customers. And then there is the hidden rental fee after the 18 (or 24) month contract which is $10 per month if on a 12 month contract so who knows what it will be after the introductory offer. And no install fee given (or indication). Nice web site, but not as up front as I've experience with XNet. Can't wait for XNet's offerings.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Wow. SNAP's supposed new datacaps: $10/15/25/40/70 for 20/60/145/250/550GB
(+ $50 for VDSL).

If XNet cant do something competitive against that, i'm goneburgers to SNAP.
