attewell: Website .. not that flash? bit slow as well? I agree, what have they done to it. I think they need to hire a designer. It doesn't play nicely in opera either.

I'm glad I made the switch to Slingshot unlimited last December. Can download whatever I want when I want and not have to worry about caps. Speed isn't an issue, at peak times it might drop to 200kbps but most of the time I can download at over 500k. I really find it hard to see why anyone would be an xnet customer anymore.

He means 200KBps which is 1/12th of what is available elsewhere but then it all depends on your area and what your local cabinet can provide.

Download speed of 200 kilobytes per second is the absolute worst I have experienced since I have signed up. On regular occasions it is able to hit 1 megabyte per second (so I don't get my b and B back to front). Xnet = fail imo and will have to pull their finger out if they want to stay afloat. Lucky they are the best voip provider in NZ otherwise they would really struggle to justify their existence.

So dissapointed with the new plans currently on VFX + 18Gb @ @ $90 new plans have VFX + 15Gb @ $102 WTF ive been with them for years but i think they just shot themselves in the foot with these plans. on the plus side when i emailed the customer support to see if i was correct with how i priced things they rang me back not 10min after i sent it. so nothing wrong with customer care...but im not sure its enough to make me stay... low $ and fat data is what im afta' .

If we're going to do a comparison please get it right or at least the same for each provider Naked Fyx $59.34 Xnet VFX $11.50 + $20 for the toll calls 5gb @ $0.34 = $1.70 Total $92.54 Xnet for the above $75 so Xnet is cheaper it's not until you start adding data @$0.34 that the two start to even out If you change the data amount to 30 gig they're basically the same $101 or $100 all figures obviously give or take a few cents. Xnet have put plans out that for high data users are not that attractive and athough $0.34 cents per gig is a lot better than Xnets price both for high data users are not that attractive eg add $100 worth of data on to each of the above you've got one plan at $192 for 300 gig and the other at 105 gig for $175 and to take a look at other providers high end offerings for that mney your getting a lot more data. With Fyx and Xnet though you literally pay for what you use so if only use 10 gig in a month your better off than the other providers.

^^^^ Thats me... 15GB Max user... Better off with Xnet but will still need to monitor my usage a little. I wish they just offered a bit more with the plan 10GB... Pretty please for being a great customer :-)

Ah, it is not just me getting tired of people saying XNet is not competitive. In reality XNet is competitive, as it is reported (by Com Com?) the average usage in NZ is 10GB per month so XNet is competitive in their target market which is average data usage + phone, and tolls. You want lots of data and no interest in phone/tolls - go to someone that targets that. Furthermore please read the Fyx FAQ, they say they run on skeleton staff and also they are not suitable for business use. XNet on the other hand is more than suitable for business use, currently the only ISP suitable for providing carrier grade VoIP. You can never have enough Volvos!
