My family is considering moving away from Xnet broadband. We are currently on the old River plan, with its 128K capped upload. We want to upgrade tp FS/FS, but that would include a not insignificant increase in price also. Not only would the base plan go up, we would also have to pay more for data.

So we are looking at other internet options. Probably leaning towards Telecom Total Home Broadband, as our phone is already with telecom, and we can get the same amount of data (60GB) for a lower price than what we are currently paying for phone+internet.

However (as usuall) the old email issue crops up again. We have had our xnet email address for several years now and changing it is a big pain.

Does anyone know if xnet provides an email only account, or a (temporary) redirection service?

My suggestion would be to move your email to your own domain - at least then you'll never experience the same issue again. It's not hard to get your own domain and email these days for $10 - $15 per year.

We are thinking of doing something like that. Either our own domain, or just using a gmail address.

But it would still be nice if we could either access our xnet email, or have it redirected for at least a couple of months after making a change.
