I've got a few  Voip lines and annoyingly I get calls when I can't hear the caller but they can hear me.  It's been so bad that wife demanded I drop the VOIP which I've done for one number but I still have 3 others.

What's the cause of this?  It's happened both on my ATA but also I think on my CISCO ip phone though I don't use that one enough to be sure.

Need a bit more info, owa (one way audio) can be caused by a few things , generally local network issues or codec mismatch.

Have you logged a fault for this with the helpdesk if it's being going on for a while?,

If you drop me an example of the issue , I will take a look, but if you get an issue fire it off to the help desk and they can look at it straight away. I have a number of Graham Chiu's in the system so cant take a look until you give me some more info.

Could you also explain your network set-up since you say you have an ATA and a IP Phone and I am assuming a Router and switch as well maybe ?

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

I have 4 locations where I have VOIP.

One is in Napier where I have fusion, and a Cisco phone.  I haven't used it now for some months but occasionally I would lose internet and voip.  I think that might have been an ADSL modem/router issue, and I've replaced the modem/router but haven't used the VOIP since ( not there very often ).

I have another location in Napier where fusion is being setup this week.  Can't comment on this one yet :)  The Chorus guy was only there yesterday setting up the line.

I have a TC line in Wgton where I don't seem to have issues with the ATA and VOIP.  But I rarely receive calls on it, and mainly use it for faxing.

My home TC line I'm using a PAP2T with one line, and a WRTP54G with 2 lines.  On both of these I regularly have issues with callers calling and my not being able to hear them.  They are connected to a WRT54G wired which is connected to the TC cable modem.

No, I've never lodged a support ticket.

I wonder if my issues are because I'm running behind an older linksys router.  I think I'll try and switch things around so that my WRTP54G is the device connected to the TC modem, and remove the older WRT54G which is now surplus to my requirements.
