Hi

I recently added the advanced feature set onto my VFX account I am having two little problems:

1) I have it set so that both my office and mobile phone ring when someone calls me, but 8 out of 10 times when I pick up on my Telecom mobile I am greeted with the engaged tone. As soon as I hang up my phone starts to ring again and this time when I pick up I will be connected with the caller.

2) If I miss the call on both my office and mobile phone the call goes to my Telecom mobile voicemail which isn’t helpful as it costs me $0.20 every time I have to check it, can I force this to go to my VFX voicemail instead?

I have emailed Xnet over 3 days ago and had no reply which is a little disappointing as I am mainly with them for the service. 


Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

Should be able to help here , must be the day for it.

We will start of with item 2.

What you will need to do under messaging - greetings is a setting number of rings before greeting which you have set for six you may want to play around with this and see what works with your mobile phone before it kicks in it's voice mail - drop it back to 5

Item 1 .... I will take a look and see what I can see

Cheers that seems to have cured problem one.

If it helps every call I have received this week has had the cut out problem.

Oh sorry i mixed up my numbers, problem 1 still exists. The voicemail is all fixed.

Just tested to my Mobile (Telecom XT) with the exact same set-up and can't reproduce , when was the last occurrence of this for you ?

I am 100% sure the call on Wednesday at 12.40pm had the problem.

I know it isn't the phone as it was happening on my U8150 with a 2degrees SIM in it and it is now happening on my Lumia 710 with an XT SIM in it.

Okay problem solved ----

Your problem is this you have "call forwarding no answer" set as well with only 5 rings, you are actually getting two call attempts , sim ring and no answer.... you don't need no answer if you have sim ring on.

Ahh right that makes sense, I had no answer set and didn't even think about switching it off when adding the advanced features.

Hey this was working fine but today I have had three calls which have had the problem were I answer on my mobile then I get the engaged tone.

So maybe the other fix didn't help or this is a different problem?

Oh shoot, just switched it off now. I think it was a problem with the apply button on that page - if you click it it doesn't actually apply the settings. You have to click the OK button to apply the settings.
