I have as my Router attached to Telstraclear cable an Apple Airport Extreme, I have attached to this an Airport Express to act as a Wireless Range extender. I set it up using the Airport App and extended it via wireless. All is good and it can be seen in the Airport app and all lights are green. However the only device that will connect to it is an Apple Ipad no other devices I try utilise it, e.g Android Asus Nexus 7 a Toshiba Laptop and a Galaxy S3.

The connected iPad connects with excellent connectivity.

Any ideas?

Only Apple uses AirPort.

1) Try setting it up as a WiFi bridge using Ethernet to the 'extender' and WiFi access. This setup retains network bandwidth.
2) Try to set it up as a WiFi extender. This will halve your available bandwidth as it's using WiFi for inbound and outbound connections.

Dude, seize the moment, NOW is the time to buy an iPhone 5 as you'll find it works too. :-)

What happens if you turn the Express off - will everything connect OK to the extreme?

Yes they do. The problem I have is in our bedroom where the signal is very low. However with Express connected as an
Extender the iPad connects to it with very good connectivity, but it is the only device that will connect.

What revision is each base station you have, and what is the wireless mode set to?
