Hi all.

I am having issues half-bridging my Tenda D830R to my Linksys WRT54GL running DD-WRT firmware. I can get the two routers to play nice without the 'PPP IP Extension' turned on, and was able to get my old RTA1320 to half-bridge to the WRT, but whenever I connect the Tenda to the Linksys and enable the half-bridge mode I can't get net access. The WAN settings seem to check out, and I can still access both routers fine, but I can not get past the D830R.

The reason the half-bridge is important to me is so that I can have open ports for devices on my side ot the WRT, such as a DMZ on my PS3. Without the half-bridge mode I cannot get open ports to the net. Basically I am asking if anyone knows any possible solutions to resolve the issue of the connection working properly with the Tenda half-bridge. Any advice would be appreciated.

I setup my RTA1320 as a straight modem using full bridge instead of PPPoA, and just have PPP running on the router. It all works fine, and the only catch is that I can only get into the modem setup by plugging it directly into my switch (same LAN IP range so the PC keeps its IP address as long as the switch stays connected). PPP lights up on the router when its online (instead of the modem) so you still know the status and you just have to remember the modem isn't doing any PPP. My ISP would probably be really confused though...

Dynalink RTA1320? Wasn't aware that was even capable of PPPoA to PPPoE conversion. Is it running special firmware?
