I see in the specs that it plugs in to 120v outlet? Possible typo?

It is a typo. I ordered from them and it works fine. Software is solid and the configuration is expected.

Using it for security is perfect. And that is what I use it for

From an energy saving perspective on devices on standby, according to my smart meter I'd have to use this for almost 2 years before breaking even. Something to be mindful about

Got a couple (from MightyApe), use one to turn on the heater at the batch. One for LED lights in the kitchen.

Works perfectly, simple setup. You can use them with IFTTT too.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their ADSL broadband network faster. Why not spend a couple of hundred to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
Geekzone special price: $150* for master splitter install, normally $200+ through your ISP. Auckland and Waikato areas.
*Travel charges may apply. Additional costs may apply for complex installs.
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, RBI Rural Broadband. Also a dealer for WorldxChange.

Can you set a timer on them so that it turns on at a certain time?

Anyone know anything about the Belkin Wemo Insight (F7C029AU).

Is it the same as the first Belkin Wemo power switch but in a more compact housing?
Improved firmware?
More or less features?

Seems to be zero stock around NZ.

Cheers

Gordon

I thought the insight was for tracking power usage rather than a switch? Dont think it is available here yet.

Im waiting for the WeMo LED bulbs. Should be good.

Oh yeah and as previously pointed out wait for 20-30% off at Noel Leeming.

Wonder if I'm the only one to think of more nefarious uses for a listening pod... :D
