I have seen deals for cheap 9ft idevice charging cables today. 

I wonder if there is any possibility of damaging my iPad2 if one of these is used.

I know Apple may have issues over my warranty ( but that is just about expired anyway) but wondered if there are opinions or experience from members here.

I've purchased heaps of after market cables for my idevice as well as friends, never had an issue

These were $1 cables from dealextreme. Not extra long ones
