What a rip off.

Vodafone:  $80 per month for 200 minutes, 1gb data, too many texts, and the iPhone 4 is still...  $499.  A $100 discount for an $80 per month plan.

Telecom is charging $60 per month for the same thing, but is offering the phone at the (*bargain*) price of $619.  A discount of -$20 dollars!

2degrees - you have a serious opportunity to get something happening here for those of us that do not think the iphone 5 is $500 better than the iPhone 4

Don't get me started on the iphone 5 plans either!

Isn't the iPhone4 now end of line and only the 4S remaining? If so it seems a little unfair to be comparing a recent Apple price drop with the price from Vodafone and Telecom.

By this I am assuming you would like 2 Degrees to sell the iPhone. To do this they would need to jump through Apples hoops to become a iPhone reseller, this is much easier said than done and with their already being two resellers in NZ I would say they are unlikely to grant this to them.

Re the high prices for the iPhone 4 at Voda and Telecom is probably due to their supplier having old stock bought at the old prices which they don't want to reduce.

People shouldn't be buying from them then, and they will be forced to drop the price. Also often with retailers when the manufacturer has a price drop, the retailer will get a rebate back on the wholesaler. Or they may do it be sale or return.. If these retailers are also going to get a rebate back, then they will be making a handsome profit.
I did notice that one of these daily deal website was selling a refurbished iphone 4 for more than apple are now selling them for new...and they sold out. So many people probably aren't aware that apple have dropped their price on their NZ online store. For $599 it is actually pretty good value, and it probably better value than buying the newer most expensive ipod touch which is the same price.

Totally agreed - I was hoping to have my wife sign up to a new plan and get a free iphone 4 on a $40 per month plan.  Alas...

Its not a rip off. There are no iPhone 5's, there is on 28 Sept. Also on 28 Sept, 4 and 4S will reduce. Apple should not have posted the 4/4S prices now, but on 28th you should find they will all be the same or similar elsewhere
