Sorry if this has already been covered earlier in this forum; if so please could someone kindly direct me to the correct link Smile

I use my old 120Gb Macbook to sync and back up my iPhone 4 16gb; this month I got a new iPhone 5 64Gb under the new term contract however my disk space on the old mac is running out (only about 7gb left).  I wish to move all my iphone 4 backup data from the Macbook to my desktop PC, which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.  Then I want to be able to sync my new iphone 5 with my pc and restore from the iphone 4 backup so all my data and setting are exactly the same

Could anyone give me some guidance on this please?  Many thanks in advance.

Ive done this in the other direction (PC to Mac)
Its easy. In summary copy your iTunes music folder to the other computer. The library is the same format across both platforms.

One tip is that you should de-authorize the old machine if you dont plan on using it to play your stuff anymore.

Edit: Spelling. 
Plus some more explaining, I believe your iPhone backups and app downloads are stored in the library too, its not just music.

Thanks Dairyxox and djbutt for the info; I used to backup and sync all my old ios devices to my macbook, including a ipod touch, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. I presume by moving the library over to PC, all those old backups will move together?

I don't have too much music stored on my iphone anyway so I don't worry too much in that regard. As long as I could move all my apps, as well as all backed up data including settings I would be happy.

Unfortunately, the iDevices backups will not be moved. Though you can change them to iCloud so they're all sync to cloud. Also, as long as the iDevices are working fine and when you transferred the media and apps successfully over to another computer, then do a whole new sync/backup on there. You won't need to keep the older backups.
