A work colleague has an iPad v3 (6 months old) which has an issue in that the internal speakers have stopped working. She's taken it to Yoobee, and they've declined to warranty repair on the basis that there is some damage to the external shell indicating the unit has been dropped.
Now, I have no major issue issue with that - if the product has been damaged by mishandling, then it's not a warranty fault. I've seen the dent - it's a fairly small dent; but right on the corner, and would have taken a reasonable amount of force to make. Probably the right call, in my opinion, to be honest.
However, my colleague still has an iPad with no working speakers. Is there a local (Wellington-based) repairer that anyone can recommend who may be able to get them working again; or at least look at the product? (Presumably for a reasonable fee?)
