Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with adding the ability for a Mazda Atenza/6 stereo to control and power a Iphone 5 / iPod?

I have been looking at two products, but I dont know what one to go with.... any suggestions...or alternatives?

or

Thanks

I have an older Dension Gateway unit that my dealer installed in my Audi A4 and have been really happy with it. I did purchase the 20cm 30-pin-Lightning adapter to get it working with my iPhone 5, no issues there. On my car it emulates a CD changer so it's easy to switch to. Steering wheel controls work great, even shows track information on my speedo LCD display and lets me browse playlists/artists/songs etc however that's a tad painful with the small size of my LCD, doesn't bother me at all. Only complaint would be that it's not very fast to charge the phone, however I suspect that's because my unit is a couple of years old and doesn't supply the same power as the one you linked does.
