I found iPad and iPhone updates were not working from iTunes.
Changed my DNS to 22.214.171.124 (Google) - applied it then immediately started download.
I've been trying to update for two days :)
Now it's working.

@nzbsgfan I don't know what your talking about with changing the DNS sorry. Can you explain a bit more? I tried looking it up but couldn't make much sense of it.
@spudsagenius any luck yet?? I haven't yet & frustratin definitely sums it up.
This afternoon my phone started downloading the update over the wifi at work. Then we were able to update my wife's phone when I got home so happy days for us. Still no idea why it wouldn't work for ages, but I guess it dosnt matter for me now.
