A year or so back HD voice came up in a stuff article...

has any NZ network looked at turning it on?

I suspect you will have to wait until VoLTE for HD Voice G722..

It will also require every carrier in NZ upgrading their domestic and international PSTN gateways and not falling back to what's currently in place...

I know at least one who has looked at it, but it's not quite a simple matter of just enabling the feature, the entire network and every point where voice is carried needs to be capable of this. It also wouldn't work inter network.
