Hi Guys

Does anyone received this kind of email from Slingshot and charging you with the courier of their modem/router.
$11 is not really biggie but is this normal that they charge the courier for free modem? for a 12 month contract? and I didnt see this on their website that you will get free modem but you have to pay the courier...

Also, looks like $11 from AKL to WLG for a small dynalink modem is quite overcharge?
what do you think guys?
below is their email.

Just a quick note to update you on a slight change to your next Slingshot invoice.

On your 03 Dec 2012 bill you will notice a hardware charge of $0.00 plus a courier fee of $11.00.

This is for the ( 1port wired ) ADSL2+ Modem Router - NB14 we sent out to you previously.

We apologise that it has taken so long for these charges to appear on your account (xxxxxx) and for any inconvenience that this may have caused.  We can ensure you though that everything is up to date now and you shouldn’t receive any further charges for this hardware.

If you have any questions about this charge please give us a call on 0800 89 2000.

Regards

The team @Slingshot

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes this is standard that we charge a courier fee and it should be mentioned when you order the modem/hardware.

The letter or email you are referring to is in regards to a missed charge for the courier fees that was applied to a later bill date - apologise for the inconvenience.

Cheers,
Ben
