My mother in law just singed up for Slingshot Broadband the other day and shes having trouble getting it up and running. Basically they told her that her connection was now active, which is not from what I have seen.

But whats pretty amazing is that their 0800 number has been dead since yesterday, even their fax number. She contacted Telecom 4 times but they told her the 0800 number of Slingshot is not run by them and that nobody knows whats happening. Anyone here know whats happening?

Fine this end, 0800 892 000

0508 SLINGS had been buggy for months.

I tried from about 5-6 different phones, I always get:

"Your call is unable to proceed at this time, please try again later."

Sorry I press the wrong button while trying to reply Embarassed

Has she signed up for Slingshot's tolls service as well? That particular message didn't sound like a Telecom landline message, so it might be generated from Slingshot's end if their tolls service hasn't been properly setup on your mother in law's phone line.

I had the same problem last week. I couldn't get through for 3 days. This was prior to the phone service from Slingshot even being activated so can only assume that they didn't have an operative phone line for 3 days. Having just taken out a new account with them, this was slightly concerning to say the least. I have subsequently got through, just hope it stays that way....

Still working for me, I phoned them last night to Deactivate iTalk and again this morning to Reactivate it after I got given a pile of ATA's and some PABX units to play with. :-D

I tried 0508 slingshot last night and 0800 89 2000 today. it also worked half an hour later dialling out from my iTalk line.

Great service both times too.
