HI Guys.

Below is the email sent by Joe.

Are you guys expericing such long PDD ( more than 30 seconds) on your italk account?

so everytime you make a call, you have to wait 30 seconds?
even I just want to make a call less than 10 seconds?

Tongue Out

Bill

Hi,

35 seconds PDD is not uncommon, nor is it a fault. It can take up to 60 seconds for a call route to complete.

I tested from the same network as Chaz so can confirm that it is not an issue with, Your or his line/connection or anything.

As far as we are concerned 35 seconds for a PDD is not an issue, it is solely the way the network works and noting can be done to change this.

The PDD will vary depending on who and where you call as well as many other things. If it gets over 60 seconds consistently to local numbers then there could be an issue but at this stage everything is ok.

Thanks,
Joe.

Seriously, I would class that as an extreme fault.

Even my cellphone doesn't take that long.
Neither does my auto dialers with Callplus or my Sip trunks with WxC, Kordia, 2talk, Mynetfone and Faktortel.
That sounds like a big cop out to me.

Very Very suprised with this outcome.

Hmmmm

Hi,

Some of the calls on this line are connecting in as little as 69ms PDD.

As also mentioned in email, I am looking at other options in regard to routing to improve this performance.

Thanks,
Joe.

Problem Finally been fixed!

what I did is.

I change another modem.

on the softphone, the waiting time has reduece to 5 to 10 seconds.

and mostly importantly, I can use my normal phone as well.

thanks Joe
