Adappted:
ptinson: Can you also post speed tests from http://speedtest.orcon.net.nz

Paul

on my 30mbit plan i now get

27.88 down
6.01 up

Great :-)

Remeber the 30mbit is a layer2 speed and the speedtest speed is at layer3.

So 27mbit is about max for a 30mbit UFB service.

Looks like your session was restarted for some reason.
Ill look into it more soon and see if there is a reported reason.
I have applied the test fix to your current connection.

I had chorus/downer around today for the first visit to run over fibre install for Monday everything went awesomely the guy from chorus was very knowledgable and helpful. The only thing is the company who is responsible for setting up the conduit cable for our area put the box for the boundary in the wrong place so chorus are having to dig it up and move it so the can do the install. But apart for that its all looking good I just hope the weather is fine for the day for the guys. And the speed issue with orcon has given me a little more faith I am not jumping into a bad thing.

I'm not sure if these speeds are showing better as it's now 10pm, or because your change helped.

We are still in peak time so its not the time of day.

It looked like your circuit was dropping the config for some reason.
Let us know again tomorrow how its going.

Not bad..  I'll just make sure most of my main server backing up from the US is done around the peak times.
